What you need

  • Flour

  • Cars

  • Containers.

Instructions


This activity is SUPER simple and great if you are quickly looking for something to entertain the kids maybe while you are in the kitchen cooking.

In a large container or tuff tray add flour and cars/trucks and let them explore.


Tips:


Get the kids involved in cleanup! Set them sweep up/wash off the toys in the sink. - They will think its part of the fun!


Notes


Store air tight container in cool room for long lasting use.


Benefits:


Their is something about flour is just so inviting to touch and feeling the different textures.

Flour sensory bins can be used in so many different ways and it doesn’t get old, it cleans up quick and it’s always, always, always worth it.


Ways to adapt:


  • Gathered a few supplies, such as measuring spoons, a slotted spoon, and a can strainer and let them play.

  • Trace letters/numbers/shapes

  • Hand prints

  • This activity could be switched up with a number of alternate ingredients ie rice, sand, play dough etc

  • You play hid and seek, hidding small objects inside and getting your child to find them.
