Updated: Aug 24, 2021

OVERVIEW

Prep time: 2 minutes

Difficulty: Easy Peasy

Estimated Cost: 10 AED

Mess level:

Age: 2 plus

What you need:

  • Grapes

  • Tooth pick.

Instructions:

Build shapes and towers by sticking the tooth pick into each grape - a great, super simple grape molecule food science activity

Notes

Alternative food to try:

  • Marshmallows

  • softer for smaller ones

  • Gumdrops

  • Cherries

  • Berries

  • Strawberries etc

Benefits:

I love to incorporate S.T.E.M. into activities. (S.T.E.M. means it’s an activity focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.) They built structures, robots, spiders, airplanes, and abstract objects.

I loved seeing children's creativity! and watching their imaginary play.

Ways to adapt:

Their are so many different and easy ways to play with grapes:

  • Add them to jelly, set and encourage your little one to extract

  • See if your little ones can peel them

  • Paint grapes with edible paint (see additional sheet for this)

  • Add them to water play
