ABOUT ME
I am a mum of identical twin girls, wife to an upset Liverpool fan, trying the best I can to also run an online children’s boutique Mumz and Munchkinz and juggle life.
WHERE IS HOME?
I was a bit of Gypsy, started off in the South of England, then moved to the midlands and studied up north. I then decided to go to Cape Town where I lived for 3 years and now settled in Dubai for 9 years and who knows for how long!
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?
I have always wanted to be an interior designer, and it’s still a dream I will fulfill at some point.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I work full time on my own business. It’s pretty hectic and full on (most days I ask myself why did I start this, ha ha!) but I have always wanted to have my own independence and money (I’m good at spending it) and it’s important to me that my children see both their parents working hard in life so they will do the same.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ACTIVITY TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDREN?
My girls are not quite 3 years old so the key to a happy life is keeping them entertained IN WHICH EVER WAY we can. Due to the current situation it’s all one on one play at home which is of course much more challenging but its teaching me a lot about my twins and just how different they are. We are extremely lucky to have a pool and I have to say that playing in it is by far our favourite thing to do.
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKENDS?
We would normally always go out. We used to love going to Legoland (the season pass is unbelievable value) we would go at least twice a month but now we are lucky enough to enjoy our garden and appreciate the small things so much more.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?
Without a doubt it is Gladiator – I choose the theme tune to walk down the aisle it’s such a beautiful song.
IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
It would have to be cheesy chips and gravy – don’t knock it until you have tried! It used to me my go-to second meal at 3am but now I’m in bed by 10pm and my metabolism couldn’t handle this! Great shame.
WHO’S YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?
We have recently been watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix (which is defiantly worth a watch) and the main actor is rather appealing on the eye!
WHICH DESTINATION IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST TO VISIT?
I think Japan would be amazing just because it seems so unique, but equally I would be very happy on any island with a cocktail and the kids entertained.
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
Wine and crisps; it’s a combo I can’t beat. LOTS of this going on now! I think I will come out of the other side of Corona 2 stone heavier!!!
IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Time is always something I just never have enough off, constantly trying to balance parenting, work, socialising and just down time so being able to stop time would without a doubt be my super power – think of everything you could do while everyone just froze.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT LIVING IN DUBAI?
We are so lucky to have an amazing nanny, I wouldn’t be able to run my own business successfully, have a life and stay sane parenting twins successful without her.
Dubai is just a very easy and convenient life.
Summer is a bit pants, but nothing is perfect!
